Bumi Hills Safari Lodge

Bumi Hills Safari Lodge stands high on the hills above Lake Kariba, on its own private concession next to Matusadona National Park, which gives it a long view over the water and the shoreline where the game comes down to drink. Ten suites have air conditioning, a freestanding bath, indoor and outdoor showers and a private deck, and the two-suite Baobab Villa comes with its own butler and guide. There is an infinity pool, a spa, a gym and a deck over the lake. Days run on water as much as on land: game drives and walks, night drives, birding, catch-and-release fishing, and cruises aboard the Lady Jacqueline. Matusadona received twenty reintroduced wild dogs, and the lodge supports the African Bush Camps Foundation lion boma work in the neighbouring Mola community. Solar powered, all ages welcome. Changa Safari Camp

Changa Safari Camp sits on the shore of Lake Kariba inside Matusadona National Park, on a private concession with about four kilometres of lake frontage. Eight tents stand under mopane woodland along the shore, each with a private veranda and an outdoor bath and shower, and a family tent suits parents travelling with children. The central area has a pool, a small beach and a dining deck over the water. Days mix wildlife drives and guided walks with boat trips, fishing and sundowners, including an outing into the Sanyati Gorge. Meals, drinks and activities are included. Most guests arrive by light aircraft at the camp’s own airstrip, and Changa pairs well with its sister camp, The Hide in Hwange.
