Zambia offers a safari experience that many consider the most authentic in Africa — walking safaris in untouched wilderness, canoe trips on the Zambezi, and wildlife encounters shaped by exceptional guiding rather than vehicle density. This is not the easiest destination to reach, but travelers who commit to Zambia return from it changed. The leopard sightings at South Luangwa, the canoe trips of the Lower Zambezi, and the floodplains of Kafue’s Busanga Plains are experiences with few parallels anywhere on the continent.
