Mozambique pairs two of Southern Africa’s great wilderness stories. Gorongosa is hailed as one of the greatest wildlife restorations on earth, while the immense Niassa Reserve protects some of Africa’s last true wilderness. Limpopo National Park ties into the wider Kruger transfrontier ecosystem, and Maputo National Park protects elephant herds and coastal wetlands close to the capital. Pair a Kruger or Gorongosa safari with a Mozambique extension for a classic Southern African combination.
