Sediba Mountain Lodge
Sediba Mountain Lodge sits inside the private, owner-run Welgevonden Game Reserve — a malaria-free Big Five conservancy where vehicle numbers are tightly limited to keep sightings uncrowded. The exclusive-use lodge sleeps up to ten guests, with twice-daily guided game drives, all meals, and mountain views over the Waterberg bush.
Sediba Rock Lodge
Sediba Rock Lodge shares the same private stretch of the Welgevonden Game Reserve, with suites built into the rock face overlooking the Waterberg valley below. Guests share the malaria-free, Big Five reserve’s low-density, owner-run game drives, with all meals and two guided drives a day included.
Noka Camp
Noka Camp’s five stilted villas cling to a cliff above the Palala River deep in the Lapalala Wilderness, each with a private heated plunge pool, a window-side sunken bathtub and an outdoor “sky bed” on a glass-floor balcony for stargazing over the ravine. Part of Lepogo Lodges, it’s a five-star, sustainability-minded base for game drives, water safaris and Iron Age/bushman-painting excursions in one of the Waterberg’s most exclusive private reserves.
57 Waterberg
57 Waterberg is an intimate, exclusive-use lodge with just ten private suites set within the private, malaria-free Welgevonden Game Reserve. The lodge places an emphasis on personal, unhurried service and quiet, individual attention, in keeping with Welgevonden’s low-density approach to game viewing.
Laluka Safari Lodge
Laluka is a family-run lodge of six villas in the eastern reaches of Welgevonden Game Reserve, looking out over the Tshwene Valley. Each villa has its own plunge pool and lounge, and the lodge keeps a private hide at a waterhole along with a photographic studio on site — an unusual thing to find at this size, and a reason photographers gravitate here. Guided drives run twice daily in the malaria-free, Big Five reserve, and meals lean on what’s grown locally.
Ndlovu Safari Lodge
Ndlovu Safari Lodge is a five-villa lodge on the banks of the Platbos River, inside the malaria-free Welgevonden Game Reserve. Each villa is air-conditioned, sleeps two, and has its own deck and private plunge pool; two of them interconnect for families travelling together. The main lodge is thatched and hung with crystal chandeliers, with a spa, a gym and a pool. Rates are all-inclusive and cover two game drives a day, morning and late afternoon, in open vehicles with the lodge’s own guides. Children aged twelve and over are welcome, with younger children accepted only when the lodge is booked exclusively.
Ant’s Hill
Built in 2003, Ant’s Hill is the more traditional of the two original Ant Africa Safaris lodges, its rooms set along a cliff edge overlooking the Waterberg. It offers a quieter, more private setting than its sister lodge Ant’s Nest, and suits couples and families particularly well. The lodge has 7 rooms, from Superior Standard to Superior Deluxe, including two family units. Guests share the same 12,500-acre private reserve and range of activities as Ant’s Nest, with each lodge keeping its own distinct atmosphere.
Ant’s Nest
Ant’s Nest is the original Ant Africa Safaris lodge, set on the same 12,500-acre private reserve as its sister property, Ant’s Hill. The homestead-style lodge has a more open, sociable feel, with 8 rooms ranging from Superior Standard to Superior Deluxe, including a family unit. Guests can choose between horseback and vehicle-based game viewing across the shared reserve, with the two lodges offering distinct settings just minutes apart in the heart of the Waterberg.
Ant’s Bushwillow Camp
Acquired in January 2024, Ant’s Bushwillow Camp sits on a private 1,100-hectare property about 40 minutes from the main Ants Reserve. With just 5 en-suite rooms, including a two-bedroom unit, it offers an intimate, exclusive-use experience. Bushwillow is a dedicated horse-riding camp for intermediate to experienced riders, run on set 7-night itineraries built around the riding experience and the surrounding wilderness. Guests wanting more flexibility in itinerary, activities or length of stay are better suited to Ant’s Nest or Ant’s Hill.
Ant’s River Lodge
Opened in March 2026, Ant’s River Lodge is the newest addition to Ant Africa Safaris, set within the private Big Five Kaingo Game Reserve overlooking the Mokolo River. It offers a more traditional safari experience than its sister properties, combining guided game drives and walking safaris with a riverside setting. The lodge has 10 rooms, accommodating up to 20 guests. Selected dates are also set aside for horse riding for experienced riders, making it one of only a handful of Big Five riding safari operators in South Africa.
Mhondoro Safari Lodge & Villa
Mhondoro sits on Welgevonden, a 36,000-hectare Big Five reserve in the malaria-free Waterberg. Six suites and a separate three-bedroom villa look onto a waterhole, and a 65-metre tunnel runs from the main lodge down to an underground hide at eye level with whatever is drinking. There is a star deck with a telescope, a spa, and a kitchen that cooks off the lodge’s own farm.
Ekuthuleni Lodge
Five standalone suites at the foot of a rocky ridge in the malaria-free Welgevonden Game Reserve, Ekuthuleni keeps to just ten guests at a time — four king suites with private terraces and one family suite with a mezzanine level for children. Two guided game drives run daily across the Big Five reserve, with views over the surrounding savanna and a resident waterhole.
Tshwene Lodge
Tshwene shares Ekuthuleni’s Rare Earth Retreats stable, with five standalone suites set in a densely wooded valley on the same malaria-free Welgevonden Game Reserve. High thatch ceilings and floor-to-ceiling glass give the interiors a treehouse feel, with private terraces looking out over the canopy. Two daily game drives cover the Big Five reserve, and sundowners are part of the routine.
