Khayelitshe House
Khayelitshe House sits among the granite boulders of the Matobo Hills, within sight of the balancing rocks that give this UNESCO landscape its shape. It is a villa rather than a camp, taken on an exclusive-use basis: four suites, six adults and up to three children under sixteen, with a private chef, host and guide for the duration of the stay. Each suite has a rain shower and a slipper bath, and the house has a pool, a wine cellar, indoor and outdoor fireplaces and a games room. Days are built around rhino tracking on foot, walks to the rock-art caves, Rhodes’ Grave and the Khami Ruins, and sundowners out in the hills. Solar powered, all ages welcome, with an outdoor play area for younger guests.
