Time + Tide Chongwe River Camp
Time + Tide Chongwe River Camp is a relaxed riverside camp where the Chongwe River meets the Zambezi. Its eight classic safari tents each have an en-suite bathroom, an open-air shower and a private outdoor seating area, styled with local textiles and handcrafted furniture, with river views that bring wildlife close from morning to night. The main lodge has dining areas, a lounge, bar, campfire and pool for unhurried time between activities. Days take in morning and afternoon game drives, walking safaris, cultural visits, seasonal boat cruises, canoeing and tiger fishing, and a wildlife hide is a useful addition for photographers and slower observation. Chongwe River Camp is open from 1 April to 15 November and welcomes children of all ages.
Time + Tide Chongwe House
Time + Tide Chongwe House is a private, sole-use safari house on a peaceful stretch of the Chongwe River, with mountain views and an indoor-outdoor flow. The two-storey house has four en-suite bedrooms and sleeps up to eight adults, each room with indoor and outdoor showers and open-air baths. A large pool, boma with fire pit, outdoor kitchen with pizza oven and both indoor and outdoor lounges are looked after by a dedicated staff and culinary team, with a private guide shaping each day. Activities include morning and afternoon game drives, walking safaris, cultural visits, seasonal boat cruises, canoeing and tiger fishing. Chongwe House is open from 1 April to 15 November and welcomes children of all ages.
Time + Tide Chongwe Suites
Time + Tide Chongwe Suites are two private riverside suites set beneath ancient trees at the confluence of the Chongwe and Zambezi Rivers. Cassia Suite has one bedroom and one bathroom, suited to couples, while Albida Suite has two bedrooms and two bathrooms for families or friends travelling together. Both have a private open-air soaking tub, an open-air lounge and dining area, a campfire and a plunge pool with river views. Guests have a dedicated butler and privately guided activities, with morning and afternoon game drives, walking safaris, cultural visits, seasonal boat cruises, canoeing and tiger fishing all on offer. Chongwe Suites are open from 1 April to 15 November and welcome children of all ages.
Chiawa Camp
Chiawa Camp stands on the north bank of the Zambezi inside Lower Zambezi National Park, family-owned and run by the Cumings family. Eight safari tents sit under a riverine canopy alongside a 220-square-metre safari suite and a star-bed tower, with a pool at the centre of camp. Days run to game drives by day and night, guided walks, boat trips on the Zambezi and catch-and-release tiger fishing, with two photographic hides close by. Children from eight are welcome. The camp opens from late April to mid-November and closes through the rains.
Old Mondoro
Old Mondoro lies about ninety minutes downstream of its sister camp Chiawa, on a quieter stretch of the Zambezi under winterthorn trees. Five bush chalets and a family chalet make up the whole camp, kept deliberately plain, with no internet. Wildlife is watched on foot, from a vehicle and from the water, and the camp has a particular name for leopard. Guests must be twelve or over. It opens from the start of May to mid-November, closing for the rains.
Nzovu Rundu Luxury Camp
Nzovu Rundu opened in July 2026 on the Nkalange Channel, looking across at Nkalange Island with the escarpment and Chilapila Peak behind it. Ten pods make up the camp — eight luxury pods and two larger Rundu Grand pods built for families — each with a plunge pool, air conditioning and an outdoor shower. Days run to canoeing the channel, walking the Nkalange trail, game drives and river cruises, and there is a spa and a climate-controlled wine cellar with a tasting room.
Zambezi Grande
Zambezi Grande is a small riverfront lodge on the Zambezi in Lower Zambezi National Park, with ten rooms — five open-plan Luxury Rooms and five freestanding Superior Suites with private verandas and outdoor showers. Unfenced and reachable by air via the nearby Royal Airstrip, it offers twice-daily game drives, boat and sunset cruises, canoeing, walking safaris, tiger fishing and cultural visits, alongside a river-view pool, spa and Pan-African restaurant. Children must be twelve or over.
