Anantara Tented Camp Kafue River
Anantara’s first-ever tented safari camp, opened in 2026 on a private stretch of the Kafue River. Thirteen keys, including Horizon Terrace Suites suspended 14 metres above the riverbank, built over three years in partnership with African Parks.
Lolelunga
Zambia’s newest private reserve, opened in 2026 on the Lunga River just north of Kafue National Park. A fenced sanctuary reintroducing lion and cheetah to the region, with thatched guest chalets set along the riverbank.
Mozhi Bush Camp
Mozhi is a six-chalet camp in northern Kafue, at the confluence of the Mozhi and Lufupa rivers — five doubles and one family chalet, with a deck over the water, a pool and a small spa. Guiding runs to game drives, walking safaris and boat trips, with seasonal excursions up onto the Busanga Plains once the floodwater drops. Lufupa and Busanga airstrips both serve the area.
Konkamoya Lodge
Konkamoya Lodge is a small, intimate safari lodge on the southern shores of Lake Itezhi-Tezhi, in a remote and wildlife-rich part of Kafue National Park. Four spacious safari tents take a maximum of eight guests, each facing the lake with a bedroom, sitting area, en-suite bathroom and private veranda. The lodge runs entirely on solar power. Activities centre on day and night game drives, birdwatching and wildlife photography, kept flexible around guests’ interests and wildlife movements. Food is part of the experience, with Italian influences, local ingredients and homemade pasta and bread alongside Zambian flavours.
Wilderness Shumba
Wilderness Shumba is a seasonal camp on the Busanga Plains in northern Kafue National Park. Six tented suites include one family room, and a pool overlooks the floodplain. There is Wi-Fi and in-house massage. Activities include game drives, night drives, guided walks, birding and stargazing. The plains are known for lion, cheetah, leopard and wild dog. The camp opens in the dry months, as the floodwater drains enough for vehicle access.
Wilderness Busanga Bush Camp
Wilderness Busanga Bush Camp sits on an island in the Busanga Plains of northern Kafue National Park. Four tents stand beneath sycamore fig trees with views over the floodplain. A raised pool overlooks the plains, and there is an open dining area, a firepit, Wi-Fi and in-house massage. Activities include game drives, guided walks, birding and stargazing. Lion, hippo, puku and lechwe are commonly seen. The camp is open from June to October.
Ila Safari Lodge
Ila Safari Lodge is a tented lodge on the Kafue River in Kafue National Park, with ten riverside tents and two larger family suites. There is an infinity pool and a boma with a fire, and the lodge runs on solar power. Days combine electric game drives, guided walks, boat trips and cruises, bush meals and fishing on the river, with community visits as an option. There is no minimum age for children.
Chisa Busanga Camp
Chisa Busanga Camp is a small camp on a tree-lined island in the Busanga Plains of northern Kafue National Park. Four elevated nest-style rooms each have a private deck. The camp has a pool, a fire pit and an open-air boma for dinners, and runs on solar power. Days combine electric game drives, guided walks, birding, guided e-bike rides and meals in the bush. Children under 12 are welcome.
