Semliki Safari Lodge
The only lodge inside Uganda’s oldest protected area, and the reason most people get to see it at all. Eight units — two safari suites and six tents — each with a private veranda, an outdoor tub and a view over the forest canopy to the escarpments beyond. Meals come from the lodge’s own organic garden and guests explore in vintage Land Rovers. What is out there is unusual rather than abundant: forest elephants, giant forest hogs, shoebill on Lake Albert, and chimpanzees living in drier country than chimpanzees normally tolerate. The Semliki Chimpanzee Project works on the same ground and guests can support it.
