Cape Cross Lodge
Cape Cross Lodge stands on the open Atlantic shore a few kilometres from the Cape fur seal colony. Eighteen standard rooms and two semi-suites all face the sea, those upstairs with balconies and those at ground level opening straight onto the beach. A self-catering cottage and twenty-one campsites sit alongside for anyone travelling differently. The restaurant looks out over the water and leans on seafood, and a small museum covers the coast’s maritime past, its guano mining and the early settlement attempts. The drive up from Swakopmund is gravel and salt road.
