In Botswana’s far east, where the Limpopo and Shashe rivers meet South Africa and Zimbabwe, the Northern Tuli Game Reserve — best known through its flagship, Mashatu — is a privately managed wilderness nicknamed the “Land of Giants.” It holds one of the largest elephant populations on private land in Africa, alongside strong leopard and lion, and is celebrated for its underground photographic hides and dramatic riverine and rocky scenery.
