Perched on the edge of the Zambezi escarpment, Chizarira is Zimbabwe’s most rugged and least-visited national park — a wild tangle of deep gorges, springs and high viewpoints overlooking the Zambezi Valley. Infrastructure is minimal and game is shy and hard-won, but elephant, lion and rare antelope are present, and the sense of genuine wilderness and solitude is unmatched. A destination for adventurous, self-sufficient travellers and walking-safari purists.
