Sanbona is the largest private reserve in the Western Cape — a vast, malaria-free Karoo wilderness roughly three hours from Cape Town, making it the most accessible Big Five reserve for travellers based in the Mother City. Rugged mountains and wide Karoo plains shelter the Big Five, including free-roaming white lions, across three lodges and an exclusive-use camp.
