Liwonde National Park
Malawi’s flagship park, transformed by African Parks into a Big Five destination along the Shire River. Boat safaris glide past huge concentrations of elephant, hippo and crocodile, while reintroduced lion, cheetah and black rhino roam the mopane and floodplain.

A small park in the far south at the northern limit of the nyala’s range, Lengwe is the easiest place to see this handsome antelope, along with buffalo, kudu and good dry-season hide viewing — a quiet add-on near Majete.
